Surrey wedding photographer – I’m a bit late to the party with this round up blog post…how is it mid-February already?! However, better late than never as they say.
2023 was 15th year in business (wow!) and it was my busiest wedding season yet. It was an absolute cracker of a year. I shot over 40 weddings (despite me, in theory, limiting myself to only shooting 35 weddings a year!) and every single one was fabulous. I photographed Jewish weddings, Indian weddings, Chinese weddings and English weddings. I shot weddings on boilingly hot, bring a spare outfit, days and “it never rains all day apart from occasionally it does” days. I photographed some wedding speeches that had everyone laughing…and some that had everyone crying. I personally cried at about 60% of the weddings I attended. I photographed some great trends that I hope will endure including champagne spray wedding photographs (which I love!), and limbo on the dancefloor (which I have to remember not to try to join in with as I’m the least flexible person ever!). But best of all, I captured thousands of photographs of very loved up couples and their delighted friends and families having the times of their lives. Have I mentioned how much I love this job?!
Huge thanks to everyone who I’ve worked with on weddings this year. There’s a large team of suppliers who work really hard behind the scenes to make a wedding run smoothly and look beautiful, both of which make my job so much easier! Here is a non-exhaustive list of a handful of my favourite suppliers from the year, worth a little look if you’re planning a 2024 wedding (or 2025/2026 and beyond!)!
Awesome wedding venues
Brilliant Caterers
Lovely wedding videographers
Calm and talented hair & make up peeps
Incredible wedding florists
And finally, of course, the biggest thanks of all goes to the dozens of couples who trusted me to be their wedding photographer. It is a huge honour to be asked to capture a couple’s wedding memories for them and I never take it for granted. You guys are all amazing. Please keep in touch (oh, and do tell your friends about me so we can hang out together at other weddings!).
